"Hello, my name is Doris"

Interestingly different, love after the age of 60. I liked the movie. I like movies that do not have a happy end or let's say that their happy ending has nothing to do with love and they lived happily ever after. Happy ending can be considered in the case of that movie, the fact that our friend, Doris, found herself and made peace with her mind and life. Not with a man.
But let's get first things first. She is almost 60, working somewhere that I did not understand and just lost her mother. Her mother and Doris were both hoarders. And it has become a condition. Now that I think about it my dad had that, and I might have this too, but in our country it is called as "After-occupation syndrome" (Wow, that is not even a term).
She then meets a guy at work, a new manager, who is at least half her age (also known as Jennifer Lopez syndrome) and she falls madly in love with him, while he is just friendly with her- of course!
So, she collaborates with her best friend's granddaughter, make a fake profile on Facebook, and get to know his hobbies and what he likes so that she can approach him. She is by default an interesting woman, in so many different levels, and a scared character. A real one. It could be so many women behind what the movie depicts.
Sally Field as Doris is amazing, she gives existence to the role of Doris, her complicated relationships with family but also her incapability of letting anything go- but she brutally starts with her mother's death. The movie bore many different feelings in me and I liked it. I even liked the colours and her style and the whole directing point, even though I am not more knowledgeable on these matters but just a viewer.
I liked it, and I recommend it. :)
Watch it.
