"Café Society"

2016 Woody Allen.
I watched it while flying. In a flight that I have a french, drunk couple with a baby next to me, enjoying the wine and ruining the silence.

Anyhow. I can't say I enjoyed it. Typical Woody, yes. The dialogues, the picture, even the characters. But I am not sure I was happy with the movie, or that I felt good for the characters that were presented to me. The story happens in the 30s. When Hollywood is the place to be. So, the nephew moves to Hollywood and works for the Hollywood agent uncle of his, and he meets a girl while she is introducing him to Hollywood. People want to be actors and actresses. But of course that dream becomes reality for some. :)
The rest just enjoy the passionate relationships while being married to nice people.
Exactly like the uncle. And exactly like our star.
The movie made me doubt the family relationships and the bonds that people had back then. How can you be so calm when your brother is sentenced to death, you uncle is married to the love of your life and the mother of your kids gets treated in a way she does not deserve by you?

Watch it of course, I need to hear your side of the story.
