"Stand by me"

Yes, I know. Of course I watched this movie before, but I was a kid and I did not get much and I remember very vividly the scene with the leeches...

Anyway, such a characteristic movie ... Very Saturday noon material. Friendship of boys that I could say they have been mistreated in a small town that they live. Not mistreated enough to think you know their future and you see them as criminals, but still. Anyway, they hear that there is a boy missing and that the boy is dead, so they want to start a small amateur adventure to find the boy and make sure that it is dead. The movie is about their characters away from home, how the parents understand them, how people perceive them, how much they have been misunderstood, how life has been fair or unfair from times to times, and they bond to end the journey and find themselves and the dead boy's body.

And even though they are not the only ones who chase that "treasure", they are the ones that find themselves through the companionship of others. Boys will always be boys, they will fight with each other, but defend each other to others. They will tease each other and yet be the ones who understand the one that is standing by them the most.

It is a must see movie, again, but I would recommend it as a family movie, yes, because we have 2017 and the movie has the same age as me. I liked it, but since I watched it now with the most attention I could pay to a movie, I would say that I appreciated it less than I would if I remembered other details than the leeches the first time I watched it. :)

Enjoy!!
